Boston Celtics Win Game 3; One Win Away From NBA Championship

Boston Holds Off Mavericks, Takes 3-0 Lead in NBA Finals

Jayson Tatum Scores 32 Points, Celtics Overcome Luka Doncic's Second Half Surge

The Boston Celtics are one win away from their 18th NBA championship after holding off the Dallas Mavericks 106-98 in Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Monday.

Jaylen Brown scored 21 points with three steals, Derrick White had 18 points and three steals, and Payton Pritchard's only basket of the game was a banked half-court shot at the end of the third quarter.

Despite a 32-point performance from Luka Dončić, the Mavericks fell short after Dončić was ejected from the game after fouling out with 5:53 remaining.

The Celtics led by 18 points in the second half, but the Mavericks cut the deficit to 93-90 late in the fourth quarter. However, the Celtics made their free throws and shots down the stretch to seal the win.

Game 4 of the NBA Finals is scheduled for Tuesday at 8 p.m. EDT on ESPN.
